a lowcountry Christmas, in photos

We took a trip to the aquarium Sunday.  No one was there.  It was fabulous.

Christmas Eve brought much anticipation of presents, lots of time spent hanging out together, and the watching of Love Actually, my favorite movie evah.

We took a walk on the beach Christmas Eve.  It was gorgeous.

Oyster stew is the traditional Christmas Eve menu for my husband's family.  We made it this year, too, but with fresh local oysters.  Not sure it tasted much different, but the shucking was fun. (say that five times fast!)

Santa was good to us.  Stockings were full.  Wrapping paper was EVERYWHERE.  And Christmas dinner was delicious, if quiet.  I even enjoyed a glass of wine with the lamb and it was the best wine I think I've ever tasted ;)

Hope yours was merry!

I am ALL in favor of your glass of wine, just so you know.

I want you guys to adopt me.
And Love Actually is my fav too, I wish I was in that movie.

Aside from being precious, that Christmas Eve picture on the beach is just beautiful!
